The Luja Foundation works for optimal utilization of wood as a natural resource by optimizing the use of band saws. The long-term CO₂ storage of wood in building materials and packaging is crucial for the environment.
We promote the use of band saws for cutting wood, as this complex technique provides better utilization of the raw material thanks to thinner saw cuts and lower energy consumption in the cutting process compared to circular saws.
Through support for research, testing, documentation and development, Luja Foundation shall promote the use of band saws for the best possible utilization of natural resources.
